To strengthen our international presence, we are looking for a Business Developer Italy. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for the development of the Energiency (SaaS) offer in Italy. You will be responsible for all phases of sales, customer follow-up and partnership development. From Italy, you will regularly visit the French sales team in Lyon and Rennes, the company’s headquarters. Your geographical area is Italy and Italian Switzerland. You will also be able to travel to Southern Europe on an ad hoc basis.

Your missions, should you choose to accept it

You will be the main contact person for all customer related issues in the Italian/Swiss region.

As the Business Developer Italy, you will have to:

  • Create a strategy to acquire new customers
  • Ensure phone acquisition, qualification of prospects and appointment setting / management of incoming calls from customers
  • Ensure the entire commercial sales process: qualification / preparation of offers / negotiations / closing
  • Manage projects under the responsibility of the energy manager teams and work closely with our data scientists (they are the guarantors of the long-term commercial relationship with our customers)
  • Create a strategy to acquire potential partners
  • Qualify and develop suitable partnerships.

Your skills

Skills & Abilities:

  • Listening, understanding the need, selling complex offerings, high level negotiation, closing.
  • Ability to quickly acquire the required technical background (SaaS / cloud, energy efficiency, data science, artificial intelligence).
  • Fluent in Italian, English and French.

Personal characteristics:

  • Your interpersonal skills, active listening and flexibility in interpersonal relations allow you to adapt with ease to various interlocutors.
  • You enjoy working independently and are comfortable with quality reporting.
  • This position, which involves potentially long sales cycles (several months), requires your commitment and perseverance.
  • Excellent organizational skills, operational excellence and reliability are expected.
  • Enthusiasm, curiosity and an entrepreneurial spirit are key to your success in this position.
