This selection follows a call for applications, launched by GDF SUEZ with Paris&Co and closed at the end of September 2014, to identify young innovative companies developing products, services and technologies to improve the energy efficiency of cities. These start-ups are hosted by Paris Région Innovation Nord Express (Paris 18e).

They will benefit from a privileged environment combining the skills of GDF SUEZ and the know-how of Paris&Co. The priority objective of this program is to support these innovative companies in order to encourage the development of experiments for new product or service offers.

GDF SUEZ will provide them with specific support through coaching-mentoring via the Group's internal experts, aimed at fostering the development of business partnerships with the Group.

Paris Région Lab - Incubators, with a network of 500 start-ups, will provide its expertise and a range of services (accommodation, meeting rooms, etc.) and support services to these young innovative companies (networking, methodological coaching, access to finance, training).

Jean-Louis Blanc, Sales Director, Innovation and New Businesses and Member of the Executive Committee of GDF SUEZ, explains that "through this incubation programme, we are building new offers with dynamic and agile start-ups around energy management in cities, for the benefit of our customers. This programme is one of the flagship actions carried out by GDF SUEZ over the past year to develop innovation: digital platforms for internal and external calls for projects; support for start-ups; investment fund dedicated to financing innovative start-ups "GDF SUEZ New Ventures"".

Jean-François Galloüin, Managing Director of Paris&Co "We are proud of this selection, which perfectly launches this ambitious incubation programme focused on improving the city's energy efficiency. The 5 start-ups will benefit from ideal conditions to create value, accelerate the deployment of their innovative solutions, and hopefully generate business with GDF SUEZ"
