The Job

Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing the Energiency (SaaS) offer in Germany. With a large degree of autonomy you will lead the different steps of the selling process, the selling accounts follow-up as well as the partnerships development. Based in Germany, you will regularly visit the sales team department in Lyon and the headquarter of the company in Rennes. Your geographical territory is Germany, Austria and German-speaking Switzerland. Some travels in Europe as part of occasional missions are also to be considered.

 

As a Business Developer, your main missions will be the following: 

  • Build a prospecting plan for potential customers.
  • Ensuring prospecting call, leads qualification and making appointments / management of incoming calls. 
  • Handle the whole selling process : qualification / proposal / negotiation / contractualization 
  • Managing the project under the responsibility of the data science and operations team. 
  • Guarantee long term commercial relationships
  • Build a prospecting plan for potential partners
  • Qualify and set up appropriate partnerships 
  • Ensure regular reporting according to Energiency procedures (CRM, Weekly reviews…)

Business skills and abilities:

  • Commercial skills: active listening, understanding of the needs, selling complex offers, high-level negotiation, closing.
  • Ability to quickly acquire the minimum technical background required (SaaS / cloud, energy efficiency, data science).
  • Clear writing and verbal communication skills (in German, French and English) 

Personal characteristics:

  • Flexible interpersonal skills and active listening will allow you to adapt easily to a variability of interlocutors..
  • You appreciate independence while being comfortable with qualitaty reporting.
  • Your commitment and tenacity are required for this position as the selling life cycles may sometimes be long (several months).
  • Your organization skills, your operational excellence and your reliability are expected.
  • Enthusiasm, curiosity and entrepreneurship are some key factors of your success on this position. 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Master Degree in University Education or Engineer and significant commercial experience (5 to 15 years) in the B to B industry.
  • Knowledge in the energy industry is a key factor of success in this position, knowledge of the world of SaaS software is a plus. 
  • Your willingness to discover an innovative business and your ability to quickly acquire new knowledges are key factors of success for this position.  

Location : Possibility to work remotely with frequent trips to Lyon, many trips in France and possibly abroad for short term missions.
